Cleansing may be the least thought of when it comes to skincare because you have that trusty facial wash or the good 'ol bar of soap. But I certainly believe cleansing isn't something you should take for granted. What's the use of expensive creams, serums , essences and whatnots if you haven't properly removed all the gunk in your face? But in searching for products , we often just grab whatever is fancy or has a really cool packaging. I don't really pay attention sometimes to the benefits, I'm easily attracted to packaging and that's part of the strategy. Who has time to read the ingredients and claims when you're squeezing about 30 mins for grocery? I'm lucky to find another budget cleanser which is reminds of the classic Cetaphil-- simple and no fuss cleanser. Here's my take on Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Dermo-Cleanser.
Its claims are:
- Mild and gentle soap-free cleanser
- Appropriate for frequent use with or without water. It is formulated to leave skin feeling clean and soft.
- Hypoallergenic, pH-balanced
Its designed to work gently to cleanse dry, sensitive skin effectively. I have oily skin and this doesn't strip off any moisture and feels so smooth when massaging in your face. It doesn't lather at all and doesn't give off that typically bubbly foam effect. I personally like my cleansing products to foam up so I'm not a fan of this cleanser in that aspect. I just don't feel that its removing dirt if it doesn't foam up well.
You can use it with or without water , so its perfect if you like to use it midday when you want to freshen up. It really reminds me of Cetaphil and quite less expensive too. It doesn't smell anything because its fragrance free. For those who wear makeup, this can't be a cleanser of your choice unless you use a makeup remover that really removes traces of dirt , oil and makeup.
Pros :
- Simple and economical
- Great choice as a beginner's cleanser
- Perfect for teens who would like to use a cleanser that's mild and hypoallergenic
Cons:
- Doesn't lather, if you are a fan of foamy cleansers, you won't like this.
- Doesn't remove all traces of dirt.
Will I recommend it? Yes. Its a basic cleanser for those wanting a no fuss skincare product and is ideal for sensitive skin. It won't strip off your skin with moisture and is actually fragrance free, so its really gentle. But for those who wear makeup, this is off your radar unless you use a makeup remover.
Till next time,
